The gesture interests me above all. I seek the active line, right and melodic colors.
Welcome!
My works refer to the visible world and suggestive perceptions, evoking nature, artistic movements, and Eastern culture. I put some signs: organic forms, atmospheric effects, silhouettes, architectures. Use of acrylic and rice papers creates effects of transparency and almost crystalline brittleness. The integration of collage adds texture and volume.
I search the perspective by adding layers of color field, figurative forms, brush strokes, cut out collages, rice paper, textures and acrylic. All these are tools for me to find out profondeur, sfumato with ceramic effects like azulejos. My earlier works were more textured. They went out physically to the canvas. I’m interested by the depth; my new paintings go deep inside. I'm recently inspired by drawings of old castle from Victor Hugo.
I don’t want to finish too much a painting, an image. I prefer to show his own presence, his row aesthetics.
I suggest you to begin by looking at my new works with the rice paper on canvas or as a medium with acrylic. I develop recently this special technique. I invite you also to discover the events that have been occured during my career (Lure, New York, Works on paper, Venice, Beijing International Art Biennial and at the Shanghai High Noon Art & Culture Centre, solo 2005, High Noon New Year's Party, Dec. 2008-Jan. 2009).
